CGI Typography

Chris Labrooy

Illustrator and typographer Chris Labrooy shows that you can seamlessly combine the art of illustration and typography to create a beautiful, informative image. Most of his design is freelance work for companies for posters and advertisements. 3D typography is really smart to bring into advertisements because those are two things that people are used to seeing, but really appreciate them when they are shown together.
The way that Labrooy incorporates type into the objects he has been supplied with is smart. It is incredible that he has created these images in cgi so intricately.

David McLeod

David McLeod is also a cgi illustrator. I was first drawn to his work when I saw the more photographic like the  images that he did for MasterCard about vacation, but then I really fell in love when I saw his amfursand.

"Papergraphy"

Sabeena Karnik

Sabeena is an artist and graphic designer residing in Mumbai, India. Specializing in paper sculpturing and acrylic murals, Karnik loves to work with paper and exploring its 'endless possibilities'. Creating 3D, calligraphy inspired typography sculptures, Karnik has produced a number of illustrations for magazines across the world. I am personally interested in Sabeena because of the amount of work that goes into each design and it requires a lot of patience an nurturing; making corrections is very difficult because it is paper.

Yulia Brodskaya

Yulia uses two simple materials-paper and glue, and a simple technique that involves the placement of carefully cut and bent strips of paper -to make lush, vibrant, three-dimensional paper artworks. Brodskaya started working as a graphic designer and illustrator in 2006, however quickly abandoned the computer programs in favour of paper art:
"Paper always held a special fascination for me. I've tried many deferent methods and techniques of working with it, until I found the way that has turned out to be 'the one' for me: now I draw with paper instead of on it".

Thomas Burden

Thomas Burden is an Illustrator and designer from Chichester. Often inspired by the objects and possessions that surround him, he has a penchant for referencing anything from alpine souvenirs and indigenous art, to all the toys he was never allowed as a child. As an alumni of leading illustration studios McFaul and I Love Dust, his range of illustrative styles have graced book covers, ad campaigns and magazine editorials, packaging, animations, websites, stage visuals, building projections and even the entire exterior of a Beirut shopping mall.

I first know him was by seeing a series of his neon light design. I was shocked by the way he combine and organize the type and the color choice for the entire design. And also he is very good at balance the type.
